“Throw Me on the Burnpile and Light Me Up” should be a conversation starter.

Written and performed by Lucy Alibar, this one-woman production debuts on Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Kirk Douglas Theatre.

“Throw Me on the Burnpile and Light Me Up” blends a lecherous goat, Pentecostals on the radio, a clutter of
inbred cats, phone calls from death row, Daddy’s burnpile and countless other rich ingredients into a delicious stew of
stories about a singular Florida childhood in Grady County.

Previews begin on Saturday, Sept. 10, and it is scheduled to run through Sunday, Oct. 2

Tickets, $25-$70, are available online at www.CenterTheatreGroup.org, by calling CTG Audience Services at 213.628-
2772, or at the Kirk Douglas Theatre box office two hours prior to performances.
