Dear Friends,

On behalf of the City of Culver City, I invite you to enjoy the three days of Fiesta La Ballona this weekend.

Fiesta will offer entertainment, carnival rides, food, music and information booths at Vets Park.

Festivities kick off at 4:30 this afternoon and conclude on Sunday at 9 p.m.  Of particular interest to music fans — you won’t want to miss Fiesta-Palooza, featuring our local youth performing live tonight.

My colleagues and I on the City Council hope you will enjoy the activities organized by our Fiesta La Ballona Committee members, numerous volunteers, and city staff.

Fiesta La Ballona, which dates back to the early 1950s, brings our community together.

As mayor,  I am happy to see so many people enjoying this special summer event.

Also, consider riding your bicycle to Fiesta La Ballona.  It is good for the environment, provides good exercise, and helps reduce vehicle traffic.  Be sure to look for the bike racks at the park.

All City Council members will be at the Fiesta throughout the weekend.

We hope to see you there.

Vice Mayor Andy Weissman and I have served on the City Council for 7½ years. This weekend marks our final Fiesta La Ballona.

Accept our invitation to join us at this meaningful time.

Thanks to all of you who worked so hard to make this weekend’s event possible.

Bring your friends and family Fiesta La Ballona.
