Three Show Nights at Culver High

     Performances start at 7 every evening. Seats are limited but can be reserved at www.avpa.org . Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 ASB/seniors/children.
     Tony Spano, Executive Director of AVPA and the director for the Academy’s Pink Elephant Music Company, is co-directing with Lisa Michel. s
 
     The fun-filled evening will highlight seven American songwriters and songwriting teams: George and Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart, Fats Waller, Harold Arlen, Cole Porter and Duke Ellington. The AVPA Chamber Singers will also perform a medley from Gershwin’s "Porgy and Bess."
     The show is about the history of American songs, familiar, popular melodies blended with memorable lyrics.
The Academy of Visual and Performing Arts at Culver High offers a comprehensive arts curriculum after regular school hours for students who are committed to excellence in art, film, theatre, dance and music.
