The Little Things that Count

Robert EbsenOP-ED

What impresses you the most about people?

Think about it while I tell you some things that impress me the most.

My Favorite Restaurants

Robert EbsenOP-ED

I know you all have your favorite restaurants. But let me tell you what kind of restaurants, and things about restaurants, I like.

I Ate the Cookies

Robert EbsenOP-ED

Why did I eat those cookies (ugh) — and those chocolate covered malted milk balls (yuk)?

They were there. That's why.

Yes, I had thought about throwing them away.

Stressed or Not – Is That the Question?

Robert EbsenOP-ED

Did you ever wish you had more hours in the day?

Why?

I wish I did for several reasons — these are the reasons I can now think of.

1.  So I could run to the gym to swim and exercise instead of sitting for hours on this computer.

2.  So I could finish working on my pop-up cards for the 37 people I told that I would send them one.

Here are three more of my favorite things:

My $99 swimming pool

What do sharks and I have in common? We can swim in rather small circles.

And that's how I get quite a bit of my exercise.

Voo Doo for Good

Robert EbsenOP-ED

I have two rotund, 9-inch tall, happy chef dolls sitting on my desk.

I don't pray to them, but I DO look at them with utmost admiration.

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

Robert EbsenOP-ED

Have you ever decided, “This is one of my very favorite things ever”?

If you have, that thing likely was something you would have liked all of your best friends to know about. It was likely something you were so very happy it was invented.

Stick It to Me

Robert EbsenOP-ED

That in-the-sink device that prevents my dishes from breaking on the bottom of the sink is both frustrating and “delivering.”

It's frustrating when the spoons, forks, and knives fall below the device.

Dates to Remember

Robert EbsenOP-ED

How many friends, acquaintances, or “cousins” do you know who remember your birthday and/or anniversary?

How many of these folks email you birthday and/or anniversary wishes? I'm not talking here about close family.
