Culver High’s Casino Night Barely a Week Away

Greg DynaburskyNews

Casino Night always is a popular attraction.

Are you looking for a fun social evening with a Las Vegas flavor?  The Culver City High School Booster Club invites local residents and surrounding communities to their 13th annual “Casino Night” fundraiser, Saturday evening, March 7, from 6:30 to 11:30.

This popular event will be at the Vets Auditorium, and the money raised goes toward Culver High clubs and athletics.

For one night, the boosters will transform the auditorium into a Las Vegas-style casino, complete with gambling tables, chips, and slot machines.  Tickets are $35/person. They may be purchased through any student-athlete or the Booster Club website (cchsboosterclub.com).

Casino Night features a silent and live auction along with raffle prizes.  A disc jockey will supply the music, and the boosters will serve appetizers and a major dessert bar.

Guests may purchase drink tickets as well as special $5 tickets for the slot tournament and raffle. The prize is an authentic video poker machine. The club will also set up an adjoining room and offer child care at $15/child.

The Booster Club is encouraging all Centaur parents, alumni, and fans as well as community members to come out and have a good time playing blackjack, craps, and roulette.

The Booster Club works all year, and this night is their biggest event.

Since its inception, Casino Night  continually has grown into one of the best attended events.

Previous attendees say they have had a most enjoyable time and look forward to the affair year after year.

The Rotunda Room at the Vets will have a multitude of silent auction items. The Booster Club will be able to accept all forms of payment.  School teams and clubs produced fun gift baskets and guests will exchange their gambling chips for raffle tickets and must be present to claim their prize.

Donated prizes for the raffle and auctions are still being accepted as well as food and drink donations and table sponsorships.

Anyone interested in a donation or sponsorship may contact the CCHS Booster Club through their website or Athletic Director Tom Salter.
