Why Isn’t Everyone Interested in 3-D World?

After weeks of experimentation, this morning I finally have really great quality 3-D movies on my iPhone-in-VR-headset.

In a nutshell, here is what I did:

Using DVDFab, I ripped a 3-D Bluray DVD to a side-by-side file of that Bluray movie.

I opened my Mac’s VLC media player and dragged the incorporated side-by-side m2ts file to the desktop.

Using Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate, I converted the m2ts file to an MP4 file for iPhone 6.

I then dragged that MP4 file into my iPhone’s SanDisk 128 GB flash drive.

When I watched the movie on my VR Headset, I was enthralled. It had absolutely the best 3-D visuals I had seen. IMHO, it was equal or better than sitting in the fourth row of the 3-D Imax movie theatre. Now I plan to purchase more of my favorite 3-D Bluray movies and convert them to these MP4 files.

This technology is so new that there is no prescription, such as mine, to help the novitiate.

A lot of geeks out there know more than I do about the technology. But  from what I have seen on Google, they have not spelled out my secret formula.

As you may know, 3-D has been one of my greatest passions for many years.  There were the early 3-D movies, 3-D comics, 3-D Imax movies, my 3-D popup cards, and now fabulous 3-D movies up close in my VR headset.

When family cannot be there at my deathbed, I will likely be watching 3-D movies.  I get even more enjoyment from the 3-D images than I do from the storyline — and those storylines can be great.

What is it that makes me different?  My wife and others I know, have no interest in 3-D.  Perhaps it is that we have gotten so used to our everyday 3-D world that we take it for granted.

Not so with the 3-D movies where the 3-D images of realistic and fantastic scenes wake us up to the reality of a new 3-D world, one that cannot be taken for granted.  Who knows?  This 3-D virtual reality (VR) world may enable us to more fully enjoy our everyday world.

Thank G-d for 3-D.
