The British turned the tide in the Battle of Britain. The German Lufttewaffe attacked England with 328 bombers and 769 fighters. All available RAF fighters were thrown into the battle. When Prime Minister Churchill asked "What reserves are left?" the reply was "none!" The British stopped the German attack. At the end of the day, Mr. Churchill uttered his immortal line, "Never in the face of human conflict has so much been owed by so many to so few."
