City Is Not Just Blowing Smoke

More aggressively than usual, City Hall is pursuing its new smoking prohibition in multi-unit buildings.

Thursday evening at 6:30, the city will host the fourth of five community meetings to explain the ordinance approved last autumn.

The gathering will be at the Vintage Faith Foursquare Church, 3979 Tilden Ave. This happens to be Opening Night for the Boulevard Music summer concert series in the Courtyard of City Hall, where smoking never has been allowed.

Final community meeting will be Thursday, July 23, at The Meadows Apartment Homes on Green Valley Circle.

Gatherings have been held throughout the community to provide outreach and education to landlords, tenants, homeowner association boards and owners of multi-unit buildings regarding the City Council-adopted smoking ban in multi-unit housing (that covers apartments, condominiums and townhomes).
