Support for longtime Culver City resident and small business owner Göran Eriksson continues to stream in.

To date, Mr. Eriksson has received the endorsement of four of the five sitting City Council members – Mayor Mehaul O’Leary, Vice Mayor Andy Weissman and Councilmembers Jeff Cooper and Jim Clarke – in his bid for a seat on the Council on the April 12 ballot.

He has also received the endorsement of numerous former members of the Council, including Scott Malsin and Ed Wolkowitz.

“All of these people know exactly what it takes to effectively lead this city,” Mr. Eriksson said.

“Goran will be a great addition to the City Council,” said Councilman Clarke. He was impressed with Mr. Eriksson’s work as the chair of the city’s Finance Advisory Committee.

“Göran’s depth of knowledge on every issue he attacks is very, very apparent,” said Councilman Cooper. “We are like-minded in keeping our city fiscally responsible.”

In addition to the scores of Culver City residents who have endorsed Eriksson, his list of supporters includes a line of current and former School Board o members, underscoring his commitment to work closely with local schools.

Water advocate Scott Houston, a member of the West Basin Municipal Water District board is an endorser.

“In a position of leadership, you have to look at the vision and the future of the city,” Mr. Houston said. “Göran brings good ideas and solid planning to the table.
