Kara Medrano, ex-employee of the Central Basin Municipal Water District and former staffer for U.S. Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-Orange County), has filed a lawsuit against Ms. Sanchez.

Ms. Medrano claims she was fired last February for reporting that Ms. Sanchez and her staffers were guilty of covering up campaign violations.

Ms. Sanchez is the top Democrat on the House Ethics Committee.

Ms. Medrano is suing for $2.5 million and to win her job back.

Through staffer Alex Nguyen, Ms. Sanchez said the accusations are “baseless allegations.”

The lawsuit is centered around staffer Yvette Shahinian conducting campaign work on official time, a violation of federal law.

Ms. Medrano charges that when she complained about it, Ms. Sanchez “expressly told” her she was not allowed to speak to anyone.

Two weeks later according to the complaint, Ms. Shahinian told everybody to delete emails and documents regarding fundraising.

Hews Media Group-Community Newspaper exclusively reported that Ms. Medrano was allegedly involved in a sexual harassment incident four years ago with Central Basin President Bob Apodaca.

Shockingly, Ms. Medrano is Mr. Apodaca’s wife’s daughter from a former marriage.

We were first to report that Apodaca settled a sexual harassment lawsuit last year.

The lawsuit was first reported by law360.com and picked up by Politico and Breitbart.

Breibart put a link to Mr. Apodaca’s sexual harassment lawsuit on his website.
