When a reporter apologized this morning for not having contacted the recent City Council candidate Scott Wyant yesterday, Mr. Wyant demurred.

“I was treasuring and guarding the last day with my daughter (Molly) and her fiancé,” he said.

“They just left to go back home (in Madison, WI).

“I am a very, very lucky man,” said Mr. Wyant six days after undergoing brain surgery at Ronald Reagan Hospital on the UCLA campus.

“I am surrounded with friends, family and positive tidal waves of well wishes.”

Mr. Wyant said he is not yet receiving unique treatments “except rest and some general meds.”

Ever, ever optimistic, the technology entrepreneur said the treatment regimen that begins next week “sounds amazing.”
