City Hall is taking steps to develop a comprehensive plan that would lead to sustainable transit and mobility improvements around the rapidly changing Expo Line Station area.

This area is known as the Transit Oriented Development District.

To collect suggestions from multiple stakeholders about the Transit Oriented District, residents are invited to take part in a Visioning Study.

The next public workshop is Thursday evening at 6:30 in the Rotunda Room of the Vets Auditorium.

Planning efforts already have created a higher-density, transit-served neighborhood that is improving regional mobility and air quality.

The Visioning Study’s goal to understand how to evolve Culver City into a Transit Oriented Community where people continue to drive less and walk, bike, and take transit more.

This innovative Transit Oriented Development framework could become a model for the Los Angeles region.

Between now and August, the Visioning Study team is helping stakeholders collaborate through a series of workshops and an interactive website https://www.culvertodvision.org

The primary study area is defined as the area within the half-mile walk and three-mile biking radiuses from the Expo Station.

The last two public workshops

  • Thursday, June 15, 7:30, in the Multipurpose Room of the Vets Auditorium
  • Thursday, July 6, 6:30, at a location to be determined.
