Daily Diatribes Gain Revenge for Trump Victory

Los Angeles Times reporter Cathleen Decker

What is a girl reporter to do?

When the effusive Donald J. Trump pilloried Hillary on Nov. 8, Cheeky Cathy Decker pledged to get even.

Promoted to her highest level of profile – Trump editor — after wilting for 38 summers at the Los Angeles Times, Cheeky Cathy is flying higher than the kids who voted “yahoo” on last November’s go-to-pot measure.

Cheeky punches Mr. Trump in the nose in her news stories and in her, ahem, “analytical” stories, which take the form of  childish rants because her side lost.

“You go, girl,” encouraged her editor at the Times, believing he had just invented a phrase that could gain national traction.

Which leads us to this morning’s woe-is-me outburst by the scarcely disciplined reporter.

Like any 10-year-old in a rundown neighborhood, Cheeky Cathy wailed when the ice cream fell from her cone as she wiggled her arms in protest against the president-elect.

If you have not spent the last two weeks on Mars, you may have heard Mr. Trump has criticized the 16 intelligence (intelligent?) for saying Russian hacking swung the election from pilloried Hillary to him. Evidence remains thinner than Cheeky Cathy’s profile.

In addition to being a hopelessly boring libby with revenge stuck between her teeth, Cheeky is sloppy at least.

In the 11th of her 34 paragraphs of recycled anti-Trump news, she alluded to a now widely disseminated fake-news story by BuzzFeed, owned by NBC, and the CNN, the Clinton News Network. Both reported that the Russians had gathered salacious information and videos of the president-elect interacting with girls of the night.

Instead of crucially noting that it was a phony story, Cheeky Cathy played naïve. She was not going to acknowledge Mr. Trump was right when he slammed those two anti-Trump outlets.

Instead, Cheeky blistered Mr. Trump for saying that when BuzzFeed and CNN knowingly printed lies about him, he was reminded of the similarly compliant media in Nazi Germany.

Stay tuned for the next exciting chapter of watching Cheeky Cathy taking Trump target practice just before fading into presumed retirement.

“What is a girl reporter to do?”

It’s great when you bring out the condescending sexism in the very first sentence of your piece. So efficient! Now we can skip the rest and go do other stuff with our lives!
