How fitting that President Obama, who made the wimpburger the symbol of his domestic and foreign policy, delivered his chest-pounding farewell address in the crime capital of America.

Tut-tut, however. This was no time for reality, no time to confess that:

• Chicagoans – mostly black — are slaughtering each other at a record clip that only would be impressive if homicide were a sport, which it is in Chi-town.
• Blacks are killing fellow blacks at a whiz-bang pace that exceeds any since they were brought to America.

I digress.

Tut-tut. What’s a little crime among 330 million people, even if some of them are liberals.

Over the din of gunshots, the weak-kneed president downed a wimpburger, bravely strolled to the stage, elevated his chin, as is his wont, and braced for a hurricane of undying worship thrown at him by Democrats who obviously don’t read the newspapers.

Admitting that, shucks, he is the person he most admires in the world, Mr. Obama told an adoring Chicago audience – giving them and the speaker something in common – that he wished he had time to list just the most impressive of his accomplishments the last eight years.

Accidentally, unvarnished honesty briefly sneaked into remarks by Mr. Obama, who somehow rose from middle-class status to multi-millionaire while in the White House.

And that was before the narcissist and Mad Michelle recently landed a $40 million book deal. (Even though he speech-makes about economic inequality and obscene wealth, he said it feels good and he will keep it all.)

The part-time leader, fulltime tourist, who leaves his country far more vulnerable at home, far less respected abroad, stumbled into this gem:

“I am asking you to believe not in my ability to bring about change (because I only have made things worse) but in yours.”
