Dateline Dayton — I have told you about the condo unit I was trying to buy for our daughter, Darlene. She is moving from Niles, MI back to Ohio.

The first unit we made an offer on encountered water damage. When the owner removed the washer, he did not completely shut off the water or put the hoses in the drain.

We backed out for this and other reasons. We found another unit with a better layout. Darlene and her family have approved it.

The unit was for sale by the owner. Bill has been great to work with, allowing us the make minor repairs and add insulation to the attic before closing on the property.

I have scheduled an electrician and plumber for next week. The insulation will be done on the 21st.

After supplying the mortgage company with a ton of paperwork, everything is complete. I only will believe that if we actually close on Dec. 14, as scheduled. At one time I was hearing from the mortgage company on a daily, almost hourly, basis.

Muslim Terror

After the latest Muslim terror struck the Ohio State University this week, I am convinced Muslims will be widely feared until the entire community condemns theses heinous acts.

I hate to say this, but I would be uneasy to be on a flight with a Muslim. The terrorist felt uneasy about praying in public, so injuring 11 students was his answer. Instead of working to solve the problems, he created a larger one. This is religion!

In Tennessee, another tragedy is the rash of fires. Gatlinburg is a favorite spot of ours. While raising our family, and not having time or money to travel, it was our destination. We were able to visit Gatlinburg for a weekend and we always had a good time. Our first encounter with a hot tub was in that city and although it was not a good experience because the unit was cold and would not heat, it was a beautiful setting.

Gatlinburg was my first encounter with a Jacuzzi — except water spilled everywhere, and I had to use every towel in the place to clean up the mess.

A third tragedy this week was the plane crash that killed most members, coaches and guests of a Brazilian soccer team, in Colombia.

Please pray for the students at Ohio State, the folks in Gatlinburg, the Brazilians killed or injured and their families. Add in all of the children being killed daily by adults who should be providing them with love.
