Rabbi Hier

You never would know it from the one-dimensional Los Angeles media, but the best-known rabbi in the community is giving a benediction in two days at the inauguration of President-elect Trump.

Throughout the 70 days since Mr. Trump’s clear-cut victory, America’s most hateful persons,  liberal racist and sexual bigots, a superfluous phrase, have tried to reopen America’s Civil War of 152 years ago.

Rabbi Marvin Hier, founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center on Pico Boulevard, will deliver a blessing when Mr. Trump takes the oath of office on Friday.

A joyous occasion for normative Americans is being calculatedly spoiled by leftist haters. They could bring our country down.

Meanwhile, a golden moment in Rabbi Hier’s high-profile career is being eclipsed by the worst outbreak of left-wing bigotry since the Civil War.

The rabbi’s hometown publication, the very leftist Jewish Journal, kicked him in the shins.

Beneath a prejudiced headline and in a snarkily written story buried on page 24, the Journal  outrageously wondered why Rabbi Hier wasn’t embarrassed to be a party to the Trump celebration.

While Rabbi Hier said needlessly in response to a needless question – that he will criticize the Trump administration when necessary – he will not play the liberals’ little game of bigotry.

“What we are not going to do,” he said, “is play this game that only when the president of the United States is a Democrat, then everyone should go to the inauguration.”

Left-wing rads “are not influencing me at all.”
