Dear Friends,

I hope you are in the best of health and spirits in what will be a watermark year for our nation and our communities facing both the challenges of the past and the uncertainties of the future, particularly “Life After Obama.”

I am sure there will be a lot to discuss. Now the good news…

I am writing to notify all of my friends, supporters, allies and associates over the last 40 years of my latest project into the world of documentary filmmaking.

A labor of love, I am proud to have been selected by my fraternity to write, direct and co-produce this venture, as it documented its historical centennial celebration rollout three years ago.

Continued in the traditions of my advocacy, scholarship, social commentary, leadership discourse and book publishing, this documentary examines the world of the century-old black fraternity movement, through the eyes and experience of one, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, as it turned 100 years old.

This feature film is entitled, “What of the Day: Celebrating a Century of Service.”

I invite you all to share in the world premiere of my directorial debut at the Pan African Film Festival, this coming Saturday night at 7 o’clock at the Rave Cinemas, Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw Plaza.
