Three levels of summer volleyball camps for youth will be conducted by the Culver Volleyball Club at the gymnasiums of the Middle School and Culver City High School.
Beginning, intermediate and high-performance levels will be offered by camp director Marty Siegal, former Culver City High School volleyball head coach and athletic director.

Youngsters in session one, June 19-22, 4-7 p.m., will learn fundamentals of passing, serving, setting and hitting.

The camp is intended for players without experience to those with light experience hoping to start club or competitive school teams, Mr. Siegal said.
The second session, July 10-13, 4-7 p.m., will be for youths with limited experience in school or beach volleyball and those with one or two years club experience.

This camp will cover more advanced transition skills.
Designed to prepare players for their middle school or high school teams, the final session, July 17-20, 8:30 a.m.-12:30, will cover more advanced transition skills.
Fees are $175 for beginning and intermediate camps. High performance camp is $200.
“Summer participation is an excellent path to improving your game,” said Mr. Siegal. “You also can make new friends, and get to know your coaches.”

Mr. Siegal suggests players wear proper volleyball clothing. They should bring snacks and bottled water to each day of camp.
