If you are a UCLA sports fan, this weekend and next week are the best times of the year.

Baseball, softball, track and field and men’s volleyball teams will be in action Friday through Wednesday.

The Bruin baseball team, 12-13, is 4-5 in the Pac-12.  They will host Stanford on Friday at 7 and again on Saturday at 4:30. On Tuesday, the Bruins face Loyola Marymount at 6. All games are at Jackie Robinson Stadium on the West Los Angeles VA campus.

UCLA’s softball team will host Stanford on Saturday at 7:30, on Sunday at 6 and Monday at 7. At 22-11, and 4-3-1 in the Pac-12, theu play Cal State Northridge on Wednesday at 7. Games will be played at Easton Stadium on the UCLA campus.

The men’s and women’s track and field teams will compete in the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational on Saturday in Drake Stadium. Field events start at 10, the  first running event is at 12 noon.

The 21-5 men’s volleyball team will host No. 6 Pepperdine on Saturday at 4 in Pauley Pavilion at 4 p.m. The team is 15-5 in conference play.

This weekend, UCLA’s and USC’s women’s beach volleyball teams will be compete in the USAV Beach Collegiate Challenge in Hermosa Beach.  The all-day tournament starts at 9:30 when USC takes on Loyola Marymount.  The defending national champion Trojans are 17-2.  UCLA is 12-4.

The Trojan baseball team is home against Utah — Friday at 6, Saturday at 2, and Sunday at 1.  USC, 13-14 overall, is 3-3 in the Pac-12.
