Centaurs Fighting Through Dog Days of Spring

Springtime brings April showers and a lot of meets, games and matches for the boys and girls athlete teams at Culver City High School.

This afternoon at 2:45, the unbeaten boys and girls track and field teams will battle El Segundo and Hawthorne in a tri-meet at the Jerry Chabola Stadium at 2:45.

At 3:15, the 9-7 boys volleyball team will face El Segundo inside the Del Goodyear gym.

On Saturday, the Centaurs will send a group of elite track athletes to the prestigious Arcadia Invitational at Arcadia High School.

“This will give our student athletes an opportunity to compete against some of the best runners and jumpers in the nation,” said Coach Jahmal Wright.

On the Schedule

Two boys volleyball matches – at home – frame the weekend, Friday at 3:15 against Gardena Serra and Monday against St. Monica at 5:15.

The 6-10 baseball team will travel to Lawndale on Tuesday and return home Thursday to face Lawndale – both days at 3:15.

On Saturday, April 18, the baseball team will travel to the San Fernando Valley to play Granada Hills at 11 in the Chatsworth Tournament.

Next Wednesday, the 7-5 girls lacrosse team will host Marlborough at 4, and go to Santa Monica on Friday for a 4:30 match.

The 4-8 boys lacrosse team will be on the road for their next two games – Friday at Viewpoint High, Calabasas, at 4, and Wednesday at El Segundo at 4:45.
