These Rams Are Different

Coach McVay

In starting the season with a 46-9 win over the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday at the Coliseum, the impressive Rams w looked totally different from last year.

Their offense, especially quarterback Jared Goff, performed as a well- oiled machine. The defense was aggressive and the special teams did their jobs.

The big question for the Rams is can they continue their turn around from a 4-12 season? They play the Washington Redskins on Sunday at 1:25 at the Coliseum.

“It feels good to get my first win as head coach,” said Coach Seam McVay after the Colts game. “It’s a step in the right direction. But the true measure of success is consistency.”

McVay gave strong credit to his coaching staff.  The veteran group  appears to blend well with the first-time head coach.

McVay was happy with the play of second-year quarterback Goff. “He took good care of the ball,” said McVay. “It was fun to see him get his first win. I was not surprised that he played that well. He made good decisions getting the ball out with good timing and rhythm.”

As effective as the passing game was,  looked,  the Rams have trouble running the ball. “We need to avoid offensive penalties,” said McVay. “We want a balanced offense.”
