UCLA and USC open their football seasons on Saturday in Texas.

For the Bruins, the 12-game regular season begins at Texas A&M (12:30, Channel 2).

In the late afternoon, the Trojans face the No. 1 team in the country, playing Alabama in the Dallas suburb of Arlington (5 o’clock, Channel 7).

Both teams return home a week from Saturday.

The Trojans play Utah State at 11 in the Coliseum.

The Bruins play UNLV at 5 at the Rose Bowl.
