Little Leaguers Will Be Decked Out in Westfield’s New Uniforms

Westfield Fox Hills, the Australian owners of the region’s best-known shopping mall, has contributed more than 400 new uniforms to the entire Culver City National Little League.

Each team will begin its season — officially a week from Saturday — with new jerseys featuring the Westfield logo stitched on the sleeve.

This is the first time in many years that the uniforms have been replaced. “We can’t thank Westfield enough for their commitment to the kids,” said Chip Netzel, the Director of Fundraising for the Little League.

Vera Is the Latest to Endorse Henderson

Albert Vera, three-time former Mayor and City Councilmember, today has endorsed Dr. Luther Henderson for the City Council election on April 8.

“I support and endorse Dr. Henderson for the City Council,” Mr. Vera said. “He has the right vision, the experience and the leadership qualities Culver City needs.

“I know he will do what is best for Culver City,” said Mr. Vera, employing a phase he frequently used during his own Council days.

Rep. Watson Endorses Dr. Henderson for Council

Diane E. Watson, Member of Congress, representing California's 33rd District, today has endorsed Dr. Luther Henderson for the City Council of Culver City in the April 8 election.

A 16-year Culver City resident, Dr. Henderson was appointed to the Cultural Affairs Commission seven years ago, and he is once again Chair of the Commission.

New Board Member Zeidman Endorses Weissman’s Bid

How do you know Election Season has arrived? Scott Zeidman, School Board member-elect, announced this afternoon he is joining 11 former Culver City mayors, four of the five current City Council members, School Board member Jessica Beagles-Roos and fellow Board member-elect Steve Gourley, in endorsing Andy Weissman for a seat on the City Council next April.

“Andy is bright, informed and involved,” sad Mr. Zeidman, the leading votegetter in this month’s School Board election.
