This is a wonderful opportunity for our friends, family and community members to get an introduction to the Miracle Project,” Ms. Katz said. “It also will help ensure that we raise enough funds to put on an amazing show in the spring.

Most people do not realize the many unique abilities of children who have autism. Our extraordinary children and volunteers will fill the Synergy Café with joy and love.”

Documentary on Miracle Children

The Miracle Project is the subject of a feature-length documentary film on children with autism currently in production by In Effect Films, a California-based non-profit organization that produces high-quality documentary films on significant social issues affecting children.

Executive producers of the film are Kristin Stills, who, along with husband Stephen Stills of Crosby, Stills & Nash, started the Stephen Stills Foundation, and Janet Grillo, former senior vice president for production at New Line Cinema. She is currently on the  Cure Autism Now board.  The film team is chronicling the children of The Miracle Project as well as their families. They will be on hand for the coffee house event to film footage.

The pay-what-you-can coffee house event will include an appetizer buffet, a silent auction, and a program of song and spoken word from the professional actors, musicians and singers and the children with autism who are currently involved in The Miracle Project.

For more information about the coffee house event, contact Erika Swan at eekaswan@hotmail.com or 818.480.8550.
