Real Patriots Win Again on Sunday

Robert L. RosebrockOP-ED

The Patriots won!

No, no, no …. not the New England Patriots that got shellacked on Sunday by the Miami Dolphins and had their winning streak snapped, but the Real Patriots, the ones who started the Veterans Revolution and achieved another Sunday Rally victory in West Los Angeles.

It takes a special breed of loyalty and dedication not to stay home and watch Sunday’s NFL games, but instead drive a long distance to put up a strong defense to protect and preserve the Los Angeles National Veterans Home.

We salute this team of true American Patriots who also played top-notch offense in scoring their 28th consecutive victory. Moreover, this remarkable record has been accomplished with seasoned Veterans, not timid rookies.

We Salute the Winning Team Members of the Real Patriots

The Guys ….

Steve Palmer, 85-year-old World War II Veteran, drives from Panorama City in the San Fernando Valley.

Hank Papeika, 82-year-old World War II and Korean War Veteran, drives from Thousand Oaks.

Dick Breithaupt, 80-year-old Korean War Veteran, drives from Northridge.

Newton Young, 80-year-old Korean War Veteran, drives from Torrance.

Larry Cardenas, 78-year-old Korean War Veteran, drives from Santa Monica.

The Gals …

Susan Wolf, a Patriot and the California Operations Director for “Gathering of Eagles,” drives 100 miles every Sunday for the Rallies.

Gloria Manciocchi, a Patriot, drives from Sylmar in the San Fernando Valley.

Kim Austin, a Patriot, drives from Redondo Beach in the South Bay area.

Bettina Michaels, a longtime Veterans supporter and Patriot, lives in Brentwood.

Nora Ward, a U.S. Navy Veteran and Patriot, lives in Brentwood

Let there be no misunderstanding; the Veterans Revolution is not a spectator sport.

To the contrary, this is a real life game with enormous stakes on the line.

Future generations of Veterans are depending upon us to protect their Home turf and save this hallowed land for them, just as previous generations protected this land for today’s Veterans.

But the game rules have changed, and the National Home is being stolen away without putting up a challenge.

It is our duty to stop all trespassers at the goal line that surrounds our National Home.

The “New Patriots” are looking for a few serious Volunteers to continue scoring more victories until we stop the “public park” and take back our National Veterans Home in its entirety.

If you want to be member of a team with real winners, then join the Veterans Revolution and become a “Real Patriot.”

Fight the good fight every Sunday.

Otherwise, continue sitting at home on Sunday afternoons and watch those who are only pretending to be Patriots.

Join the Veterans Revolution on Super Rally Sunday, this Sunday from 12 noon to 4 o’clock.
