Not surprisingly, the City Council last evening approved a 120-day extension of the public review period for written comments on the Inglewood Oil Field specific plan and the draft Environmental Impact Report

March 14 is the new deadline.

The draft EIR, the draft specific plan and proposed new drilling regulations were released for comment two months ago today, and today was the original expiration date.

The California Environmental Quality Act guidelines require that an EIR be available for a 45-day public review period.

However, City Hall initially extended the public review period to 60 days.

Interested parties have until 5:30 on Wednesday, March 14, to review the draft EIR.

Written comments should be labeled with “Subject: Inglewood Oil Field Specific Plan Project” and be directed:

City Attorney’s Office
