Yesterday morning we introduced a motion to rename Council District 10’s Rodeo Road to Obama Boulevard.

Nine years ago I had the honor of introducing then-Sen. Obama at his first campaign rally at Rancho Cienega Park on Rodeo Road.

The renaming will enable everyone who travels the boulevard to recognize the road as a fixed landmark within the city of Los Angeles, dedicated to celebrating the legacy of President Barack Obama.

Our district is home to Washington Boulevard, Adams Boulevard, Jefferson Boulevard, and now we begin the process of making it home to Obama Boulevard.
