Dateline Dayton — Another Muslim terrorist act in the United States. When will we learn to get along, no matter our religious beliefs? The American Muslim community needs a wakeup call. They must come together, denounce the violence and demonstrate they are peace-loving people. Sure, only a few cause the trouble. The acts reflect, however, on all.

Today I would be concerned about being on an airplane, bus, or even in a car with a Muslin man, woman or child, I didn’t know.

The police have killed another “good boy.” If all of these people the police have had to killed are such “good boys,” why do they have guns, run from the police, or have just robbed a business?

If you disobey the police, you run the risk of being shot, that’s why the police carry guns. They are trained to shoot to kill. They really don’t like to use their weapons because they are also in danger of being shot, even if it doles turn out to be a toy gun.

How many people are shot every day by a toy gun? Or one that is unloaded? The best way to keep from getting shot is to not put yourself in a position to be shot. Running with your hands up is not a way to keep from getting shot. Stop. Parents must teach respect for the law.

A young man here in Dayton was killed the other day. His father is pleading for parents to get their kids off the streets. Drugs are usually the cause of most shootings here. This young man just got out of prison.

Dad should have followed his current advice, years ago.

Care to Dance?

I see where Jake T. Austin was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars. I was hoping that Ryan Lochte would be there to show him and the producers of the show, Americans don’t approve of his actions and the shameful way he represented his country in Rio.

At least he was second and could go next week.

Donald Trump could be right. He could shoot someone and still get elected. We have such short memories when it comes to improper actions by a celebrity. Again, publicity, good or bad, will help you in your cause.

Look how may crooked politicians we elect time after time!

I am supposed to be heartbroken that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are divorcing. Give me a break. Their kind of Hollywood divorce takes place every day. I feel sorry for the six kids who will have their lives disrupted.

Last week I did write the NFL Commissioner, regarding players not standing for the National Anthem. Will let you know if I get any type of response.
