QB-shy, Can Bruins Run?

Devon Modster

UCLA is fighting an uphill battle.

At 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the Pac-12, they face Arizona State, 5-4 and 4-2, on Saturday at the Rose Bowl at 6:30.

The Bruins might lose if they don’t they don’t give their best effort.

In fairness, injuries have destroyed a once-promising season. Ten Bruins have sustained year-ending injuries.

Starting quarterback Josh Rosen is going through concussion treatments. He may not play.

Another problem is defense.  Last Friday they gave up 48 points in Utah. Hopefully UCLA’s defense will play better in front of their home crowd.

If they can run against the Sun Devils, that should alleviate some pressure for backup quarterback Devon Modster.

The Bruins have had running trouble every week. Saturday night would be a good breakout time.
