While VA officer rips down flag, Mark Garvin photographs scene for fellow Veterans. At right, Ted Hayes, Mr. Patriot.

Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans,

During last Sunday’s weekly protest by Veterans seeking to have the VA property returned to the care of needy military Veterans, an armed VA officer named Morales came outside at the VA to illegally seize the American flag of Mr. Patriot, Ted Hayes.

Three witnesses were standing close by: Mr. Hayes, Vietnam Veteran Mark Gavin, who was photographing this illegal activity, and a lady with a pit bull.

Mr. Hayes was threatened with false arrest by officer Morales for “displaying a placard.” Another armed VA cop, officer Reyes, aggressively attacked Mr. Gavin while he was photographing this illegal activity.

Officer Reyes used excessive force to unnecessarily take Mr. Gavin to the ground along with officer Morales.

While Mr. Gavin was on his stomach, the two armed VA cops were on top beating the heck out of him, he kept crying out, “I’m a Veteran! I’m a Veteran!”

The more he cried for help, the more these two crude officers violently inflicted harm.

After roughing up Mr. Garvin, the officers handcuffed him, confiscated his camera and took him into custody at the VA police headquarters.
Video coverage shows an unprovoked attack where officers misbehaved and Veterans conducted themselves admirably.

The VA cops’ assault of Mr. Garvin was intentional, malicious, totally uncalled for, barbaric.

Meanwhile, the unidentified lady witness and her off-leash pit bull, a purported “service dog” shared by several persons who regularly panhandle, stayed throughout this entire scene,

Make no mistake, the Los Angeles VA is “dogcentric” while elderly Veterans and patriotic Citizen Soldiers are falsely arrested.
Read the story below about the VA’s out-of-control assault at last Sunday’s rally.

American Patriotism vs. VA’s Anti-Americanism

Veterans and American flags are not welcome at the VA, but unleashed dogs are.

Moreover, the VA encourages the illegal use of Veterans’ land by powerful non-Veteran entities such as the UCLA Athletic Dept., the Brentwood School Athletic Dept., a neighboring homeowner group’s rent-free public park, and L.A. City’s rent-free public dog park while war-injured Veterans are forced to live homeless and hungry at Skid Row.

Yesterday marked the 439th consecutive Sunday Rally of the peaceful Veterans Revolution to “Save Our Veterans Land” and to “Bring Our Homeless Veterans Home.”

Please attend and witness firsthand the VA’s illegal retaliation, discrimination and falsified arrests against the Old Veterans Guard and Citizen Soldiers.

VA Secretary Robert A. McDonald, WLA VA executive director Ann Brown, her chief of police Charles Leas and others should be indicted. Our homeless Veterans must be brought home to the National Home even quicker.

Do your duty. Join the Veterans Revolution.
